Privacy Policy
The Gouldian Lady is
committed to honoring and respecting your individual privacy. You can
shop anonymously! None of your information will be stored for future
orders and all information will have to be provided each time you shop.
As an anonymous shopper, you will be asked for your shipping, billing and
credit card information each time you proceed through our shopping cart.
We also
believe that your e-mail address is private information and you have our
assurance that we will not rent or sell your e-mail address to anyone.
We will first try to contact you by phone if we have a question about an
order placed. If we are unable to reach you by phone, we may also try to
contact you by e-mail.
Shipping Policy for Birds
The Gouldian Lady will ship
your order as soon as the order is paid for in full and received, in full,
meaning the cost of the birds selected and the shipping costs.
Shipping arrangements will
be made via e-mail and phone conversations.
We do not ship via the
United States Postal Service as it is illegal to ship finches this way.
Our prefer method of shipment is via commercial airlines and specifically
Continental Airlines using their “Pet Safe” Program. Shipping cost is
typically $130 and up depending upon weight and airline.
Guarantee
If you receive any d.o.a.’s
you must file a claim with the airline directly, with the claim payable to
you. We will only replace birds if, within the first 48 hours, they
expire. If this is the case we require you to send us the deceased bird
via Priority Mail at your cost so we can have the bird examined. We will
replace the bird as soon as a replacement is available or refund your
money. We assume no additional shipping costs nor refund shipping costs.
Deposits
If reserving a bird a 50%
non-refundable deposit is required to hold the bird of your choice. You
may place a deposit on a fully colored out bird or on a bird coloring out
that whose mutation is easily discernable, in which case said bird will
not be delivered to buyer until juvenile is complete with its baby molt.
I do not sell juveniles or take deposits on them until I can discern
their mutation.
Terms for shipping of products
All orders must be
accompanied by full payment including shipping. We accept PayPal, money
orders, cashier’s checks or personal checks (a 10 day wait on all personal
checks). These methods will ensure your order is accepted. There is a
$25 fee for returned checks.

In an effort to reduce
the confusion and miss calculations of shipping charges,
The Gouldian Lady will send a separate "Request for Payment"
through PayPal for the "EXACT" shipping charges for USPS
Priority Mail. Upon receipt of payment, your order will
promptly go out the next day. |
If goods received are
damaged please contact The Gouldian Lady to make arrangements for damaged
products to be replaced. |
